Innovators from Domel have received two gold awards for the best innovations in the Gorenjska region for 2008. The award ceremony, organised by the Gorenjska Regional Chamber of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, took place at 1.00 p.m. on Thursday 18 June 2009 at the premises of Acroni in Jesenice. The guest of honour was Dr Pavel Gantar, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia.

After reviewing all the innovations submitted for 2008, the evaluation committee awarded three gold awards, ten silver awards and four bronze awards. Domel entered two innovations and received a gold award for both of them.

        - DEVELOPMENT OF SILENT HIGH-EFFICIENCY VACUUM CLEANER MOTOR 464, by: Aljoša Močnik, Andrej Biček, Janez Rihtaršič, Tadeja Bergant, Milan Vizjak, Dr Boris Benedičič


        - THREE-PHASE BLOWERS OF THE 790 and 791 FAMILIES, by: Igor Mohorič Bonča, Franjo Gorše, Marjan Kavčič, Janez Urh, Miha Šubic, Janez Lotrič




The recipients of the gold awards with the guest of honour Dr Pavel Gantar, President of the National Assembly, Jadranka Švarc, Director of the Regional Chamber for Gorenjska, Slavko Kanalec, Managing Director of Acroni and Samo Hribar Milič, Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.

As well as the two gold awards for Domel, a third gold award went to Acroni. All three innovations will now be put forward as candidates for the highest awards at the national level. The awards were accepted at the ceremony by the following innovators from Domel: Igor Mohorič Bonča, Franjo Gorše, Andrej Biček, Janez Rihtaršič and Milan Vizjak.
