Domel has developed state-of-the-art motor construction, which offers the highest efficiency in compact size and lightweight motors with the use of non-rare earth, ferrite magnets. Efficiency motor + VFD can be up to 95%.

PMS motors have up to 40% less losses compared to the equivalent IE3 asynchronous motors with VFD due to the secondary magnetic field being generated from the permanent magnets rather than copper windings. At partial load the difference in efficiency is even higher.

The unique electrical design enables motors with high operating speeds, up to 6000 rpm. When increasing the speed of the motor, the difference in size and weight between asynchronous and PMS motors also increases significantly, in favour of the PMS motors.

NZA motors are available in IEC housing. This PMS motor combines unique Domel’s electrical design with the proven mechanical design of AC Induction Motors. The result is a compact motor range primarily targeted toward all HVAC and industrial applications, and all other applications where there is an emphasis on reducing the operating cost or weight and size of the motors.
