Domel Group corporate identity manual

Basic identifiable graphic elements of the DOMEL group

Trade mark positive

Domel logo - positiveBlack and white version of the trade mark is only used when technically required, such as monochrome print, embroidery... When multicolour materials are used, we always use the basic, colour trade mark. The positive is used on lighter, generally white, backgrounds. The negative is used on dark or black backgrounds.

Trade mark negative

Domel logo - negativeThe company trade mark is the most basic fixed element of the corporate identity. Its basic appearance is as a typographic symbol or logo. The DOMEL trade mark contains one primary colour, set out in this manual. The positive colour version is used on lighter, generally white backgrounds. The negative is used on dark or black backgrounds. Only the original, constructed trade mark is used for reproduction.

Trade mark isolation space

No other graphical element may be placed in the isolation space of the mark. The isolation space is defined by module 1, which equals the width of the letters of the typographic symbol. The distance from the company mark to the edge of the format must not be less than the defined isolation space, except where determined in this manual.

Trade mark minimum permitted size

The minimum permitted size of the trade mark is 3 mm. Considerations regarding materials and reproduction techniques can also influence a reduction in the company mark.

Trade mark Non-permitted use

The company trade mark is the most basic fixed element of the corporate identity. The trade mark of the company may not be disproportionately extended, or displayed in colours not set out in this manual, while linear versions and rotated trade marks may also not be used. Only the original, constructed trade mark is used for reproduction.

Trade mark colour scale

The primary colours of the corporate identity and the trade mark are red and black. The colours are intended both for the background colour and for the text. Consistent use of the prescribed colours links all visual communications of the company into a whole, thereby building recognition of the DOMEL brand. Other colours may also to a lesser extent be used in designing visual communications, but they must always be in harmony with the protected colours of the company.

Trade mark on colour backgrounds

The negative trade mark is used on primarily red and black backgrounds. For all other background colours, use the version that most strongly contrasts with the colour background.

Trade mark in photographs

As with the use of the mark on primary and secondary colour backgrounds, the decision on the use of the positive or negative version of the mark depends on the degree of illumination of the background. The company trade mark is not generally used in photographs, as they generally reduce its visibility and legibility. Exceptionally, the mark may be used on colour neutral parts of photographs which enable the isolation space of the trade mark, while the red negative version may be used in colour photographs, and the black negative version on black and white photographs.
