Research & development - Rotor balancing
At Domel, we perform rotor balancing in accordance with the ISO 1940 standard, and we offer this service to external customers as well. Rotors can be balanced either statically (single-plane balancing) or dynamically (two-plane balancing). We can balance various sizes and types of rotors, including wound rotors, magnet rotors, fans, discs, flywheels, commutators, separators, turbines, measurement shafts, and others.
For shorter rotors without a shaft (e.g., fans), a balancing shaft is required on which the rotors can be mounted.
Geometrical limitations for rotor mounting:
• maximum rotor length: up to 400 mm,
• maximum rotor diameter: up to 300 mm,
• maximum rotor mass: up to 3 kg,
• shaft diameter at the mounting points on the measuring support: from 5 to 25 mm.
