792 Blowers with Power Factor Correction – One Product for All Markets

23. 10. 2025 | Karmen Nastran

At Domel, the development and introduction of the upgraded 792 series marks an important step forward in delivering energy-efficient solutions for industrial applications. The new version features integrated Power Factor Correction (PFC) within the same compact dimensions as the standard model.

The solution is designed to operate within a wide universal input voltage range of 100–240 VAC, enabling direct connection to global mains supplies without the need for voltage adaptation. This ensures that a single blower maintains identical performance characteristics and operating parameters regardless of the regional power grid.

Compact Design without Compromise

The upgraded 792 blower is fully interchangeable with the standard model, which makes replacement simple and requires no modifications to existing equipment. At the same time, the power-to-weight ratio remains highly competitive compared to traditional side channel blowers.

Integrated PFC Technology

The built-in PFC function provides several key advantages:

  • Reduced current – less stress on the power supply system,
  • Energy savings – improved efficiency leads to lower losses,
  • Smaller circuit breakers – lower nominal fuse ratings can be used,
  • Reduced harmonics – compliance with IEC 61000-3-2 and IEC 61000-3-3 ensures fewer disturbances in the power grid.

Global Applicability

With an input voltage range of 100–240 VAC, the 792 series is suitable for universal use, regardless of local grid requirements. This significantly simplifies logistics and component standardization for our customers worldwide.

Long Service Life

The motor-electronic assembly is designed for an operating lifetime exceeding 20,000 hours, ensuring enhanced reliability of the end device. This results in reduced maintenance requirements and lower total cost of ownership throughout the product’s lifecycle.

Global Certifications in Progress

The product is CE marked, indicating full conformity with relevant European Union safety, health, and environmental protection standards. UL and CSA approvals are currently underway. These certifications will confirm compliance with international safety standards and facilitate seamless market entry in North America.

Ready for the Future

With the upgraded 792 series, Domel is already addressing the industry’s future demands for energy efficiency, standardization, and global compatibility. The integration of PFC technology represents a tangible step toward sustainable electrification and smarter energy use.
