Domel introduces BLDC gear motors for mobile robotics applications
Domel develops customized BLDC gear motors with encoders and brakes for autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), and other mobile robotic platforms.

Instead of sourcing and integrating individual components from multiple suppliers, Domel delivers a fully integrated drive system ready for installation into a mobile platform.

Drive solutions for every vehicle size
Domel offers three motor platforms covering a wide range of applications, from lightweight delivery robots to heavy-duty industrial AGVs.
The first solution is based on the EC730 motor platform, while versions based on the EC740 and EC720 motor families are currently under development and testing.
The motors are available with or without Hall sensors and can be equipped with high-resolution encoders.
Encoders always provide precise rotor position feedback, enabling advanced motor control algorithms for accurate positioning, smooth speed regulation, and optimal energy efficiency.
Modular design for multiple industries
Although primarily developed for autonomous transport vehicles, the same technology platform can be adapted for various mobile applications, including:
- Robotic lawn mowers
- Unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs)
- Specialized mobile robots
- Electric marine propulsion systems
