Development and industrialization of high-tech mechatronic assemblies – The key to new niche markets

23. 10. 2025 | Karmen Nastran

At Domel, we have been intensively developing high-tech mechatronic assemblies for many years. These systems combine a BLDC electric motor, motor drive, and advanced software. This strategic focus enables us not only to maintain highly skilled jobs but also to enter new niche markets with high added value.

The challenge of technical cleanliness across the entire supply chain

Ensuring technical cleanliness throughout the entire process — from supplier to production and finally to the customer — represents a complex engineering and supply chain challenge.

Cleanroom environments enable complete control of airborne particles, which is crucial for guaranteeing the quality of components such as drive modules for electric vehicles, medical devices, or highly sensitive sensors.

However, introducing this kind of technology goes far beyond simply renovating production facilities – it requires building a comprehensive supply chain that meets the most stringent standards of cleanliness, traceability, and quality control.

With the implementation of cleanroom technology, Domel has raised the technical standard of production and opened the way to even greater integration of mechatronic solutions into premium applications.

Cleanroom Production

Electric Torque Vectoring System

One of these applications is the Electric Torque Vectoring System, a crucial innovation in the segment of high-end electric vehicles. This advanced drive concept enables active distribution of torque between the vehicle’s rear wheels. In practice, the vehicle doesn’t merely respond to the driver’s commands – the system continuously adjusts torque based on road conditions and driving dynamics. The result: improved traction, greater stability, and exceptional agility – all vital for safe yet sporty driving.

Achieving such performance demands high-performance mechatronic assemblies featuring fast-response electronic control units, precisely engineered electric motors, and reliable software logic. Domel brings all these elements together – backed by expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art infrastructure that includes top-class cleanroom facilities.

Shaping the future

By integrating technologies such as cleanroom production, intelligent drive systems, and advanced testing methods, we are strengthening our role as a trusted development partner in the most demanding industries. Our strategy goes beyond adapting to trends – we aim to co-create them, together with our customers, partners, and suppliers.
